eBay fined

eBay has been ordered to pay nearly 40 million euros(63 million dollars) in damages to Louis Vuitton for selling fake items, like handbags. Wow, that is truly a lot of money!
eBay has been accused of not doing enough to prevent the sale of fakes, also they did not have legal permission to sell some authentic products.
It seems like many people are not aware of the fact that selling fakes is illegal. There are tons of auctions out there where people are selling fakes. Sometimes it's hard to spot a fake but other times its very easy. I have personally made a few sellers aware of the fact that their products are fake. Some claim they didn't know, others just ignore it. Such a shame for people buying what they think are originals and eventually find out it isn't (hopefully they do). When buying from auctions always remember: if it's too good be true, it probably is!

Outdoor wear

Since I'm now spending big parts of my days outdoors I need a new jacket suited for the purpose. I need something that can handle the rough climate in Norway, but at the same time be suitable for warmer weather. In other words something windproof and light.

I have always refused to own a so-called "allværsjakke", a hardshell jacket that can be seen on almost every Norwegian. Yes it's almost like a uniform over here, just try counting the number of jackets you can see in one day... Most often in horrible colours and no variation in the design. (To their defense, I must that the design has improved a lot the recent years.)

An example of the really annoying Bergans jacket that I wouldn't be seen in. Horrible.

Anyway, I need a softshell jacket. I came across this Italian brand: Wild roses and want to check it out. For women only.

The Lende jacket from Stormeberg is also an ok but not so exciting alternative.

LTC capri

I wonder if Le temps des cerises (aka Japan Rags) have a capri out this season. They have released one each summer the last 2-3 years. Very nice brand. The denim is is soft I'm almost scared to wear it. But it lasts, my capri must be at least 3 years now and is still wearable. It begins to show signs of wear though so I would like to replace it.

Great dresses

Check out this great dress from asos. Such a beauty. You just can't go wrong with black and white. The classical cut and the colours makes it a very timeless piece to last forever.

This one is a more colourful but also very pretty choice. Perfect for the great summer happenings.

The non-human stars of SATC, part 2

This exclusive Manolo Blahnik shoes was custom-made for the movie. One could say that this pair actually plays a part but you have to see the movie to find out how. :)

The satin sapphire blue beauties with a silver buckle will actually be sold in the Manolo Blahnik store in Manhattan ($885).

As I mention earlier, in the SATC-movie Carrie wore some gorgeous gladiator sandals with several outfits.

These beauties are the Dior Extreme gladiator platforms. The Dior boutiques around the world have been bombarded with requests for them but appearantly they went out of production a while ago. They are also sold out at eluxury but you can still see the specifications:

SATC experience

Saw the movie last night. It was great! I had not very high expectations due to the bad critics so I really enjoyed it. The movie was very much in the same style as the TV series. And the clothes... Ah, the clothes were just amazing.
I long to get back to NY so much it almost hurts... :)

Simply difficult

Sometimes the things that seem very easy to find are not. In my case I'm looking for a simple white singlet. Such a necessary basic that can be worn with anything.
Of course there are tons of them out there but none of them have met my demands. First of all the fit has to be perfect. Both in length and width. Second of all, the fabric must be of good quality. Stretchy but not slouchy. Thin but not see-through.
A couple of seasons ago they had a really nice and very affordable model at cubus. I have about 5 of them but they are starting to look worn and miscoloured.
If someone knows a high quality simple white singlet, please let me know.

I'm back

I've been away from the blogging world for many months now. So many amazing things have happened to me. I have received the greatest gift possible: a wonderful baby princess. During this time I haven't been blogging at all, as you can see.

First of all, maternity clothes are not much to write about, trust me! Second of all, I haven't had the time and inspiration.

Today I finally checked my visitor stats and found out that the blog is still alive. This motivated me come back. Hopefully I will be able to keep it up.
