Pants

There are 2 kinds of pants dominating the fashion scene now: the skinny and the wide legged. The skinny we already know from a couple of seasons back. The wide legged has been on and off for years too.

This one from asos is a great example. High waist, checks with hem. Wear with a glamorous top for evening or with a shirt for daytime. Very elegant and stylish.

British supermodel Erin O'Connor looks fabolous in wide pants. The tuxedo top and the silver shoes complements it perfectly.

Best dressed 2007

Every year People magazine presents a list of the top ten best dressed. The 2007 list for best dressed is:

1. Beyonce Knowles - Tons of glitter and glamour. Hair extensions and make up. A bit too much for my taste.
2. Cameron Diaz - Very casual style. Typically seen in skinny jeans and a jacket.
3. Katie Holmes - Very varying in her style. Plus for the new hairdo.
4. Penelope Cruz - Boring.
5. Jessica Biel - Boring.
6. Drew Barrymore - Super boring.
7. Jennifer Lopez - Another glamour glitter diva.
8. Reese Witherspoon - Cute style but not that original. Evrything looks good on her.
9. Gwen Stefani - Love her style.
10. Ali Larter - Ali who?

The best dressed man is David Beckham which I do agree is a very stylish man.

Urban warrior

The urban warrior trend is strong this winter. What is an urban warrior? Well, at least I know what she might wear: leather clothing, bags and boots with zips and studs. Metallics, dark colours. A touch of purple or red. It's all about being a tough girl. Of course nothing is better than adding your personal feminine contrast touch in something like a pink silk scarf, a romantic blouse or anything else. As usual, there are no rules. Just inspiration. Think medieval knights, catwoman, rock chick, biker girl...

L.A.M.B at NY Fashion week

The L.A.M.B runway show opened the NY Fashion week at Bryant Park on Wednesday.
1. Schoolgirl meets Wall Street.
Elements that describe the spring/summer 2008 collection:
- Menswear inspired tailored pieces crossed with schoolgirl influences. Ties and jackets with short skirts, blazers with emblems.
- All black and white outfits with strong graphics and patterns like houndstooth and checkers.
- Lots of plaids.
- Mini dresses, skirts and shorts.
- Rebel girl with attitude image.
- Mostly black and white outfits but also some strong colours; red, yellow, green.

The great thing about L.A.M.B is that the collection reflects Gwen's personality so much. This is what she actually wears and it's all her ideas and designs. I think this collection is particularly signature Gwen as it reflects a lot of her roots with elements that she has been using for years. Like the rasta colours and the houndstooth patterns.

3. A splash of colour. Skinny pants and blazer. White Ray Bans are still doing it!

6. The girls working it backstage. Plaids, plaids, plaids. White nail polish on every model in the show.

It's time to get that leather jacket out of the closet again. If you have a short leather jacket hanging it's just perfect right now. Add some additude to a sweet dress and heels or go for the motorcycle look with black jeans.

What's in the bag?

Gwen and Gavin were photographed shopping for groceries on vacation in Hawaii last week. Gwen looking fabulously fit. But hold on, what's in the bag? A pair of crocs! It seems like Gavin has injured his foot so I guess he needed some comfortable footwear. Seeing Gwen and a pair of crocs in the same picture just doesn't make sense...

Gwen has been wearing a lot of gold accessories lately. Here she is wearing gold earrings, goldframed sunglasses and bikinitop and the amazing L.A.M.B bracelets.
